The Gospel
The Gospel is the person and work of Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is God in the flesh. He is called “Immanuel” which means “God with us.” Jesus is the visible expression of an invisible God. He was with God in the beginning of creation and the world was made through Him. Jesus is the exact imprint of God’s nature.
The work of Jesus includes but is not limited: He Created the world. He provides purification of sin for all those who trust in Him. He is the only door to eternal salvation.
The word Gospel means “good news”, something that makes us jump for joy or laugh out loud. The definition is different from its essence. The Gospel is the person and work of Jesus Christ. When we embrace what the Gospel is, we participate in how it’s defined.
